Peter serves as Senior Consultant on senior leadership assignments providing insight, national relationships, and vetting of candidates on behalf of client institution committees and our firm. Peter conducts research and works with clients and candidates across the firm’s Higher Education, Academic Medicine, Research, and Healthcare Administration practices.
His nearly 25 years in education includes 16 years in higher education roles, most recently as Director of Student Services at the Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He also served RIT as an adjunct professor in the Saunders College, in the School of Communication, and in the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement, where he taught classes and led workshops in communication, marketing, and other business areas.
Prior to RIT, he was a product manager in the corporate training industry, and he previously served in marketing and communication positions in telecommunications, financial services, university research, the nonprofit sector, and print journalism.
Peter has led and been involved in numerous volunteer initiatives in the areas of education, health care, and food and shelter, inspiring young people and others to identify creative ways to give back to their communities. He is an alumnus of the yearlong Leadership Rochester program, has been a panelist and delivered keynote addresses and other speeches, written numerous articles for mainstream and industry publications, and appeared as a guest on TV and radio shows.
He completed a short program in professional education at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and has led or participated in academic and service trips throughout the United States as well as in Guatemala, England, Ireland and Spain.
He earned an MBA degree from the University of Rochester Simon Business School, completed postgraduate coursework in teaching at the St. John Fisher University Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education, and earned a BA degree in English from Binghamton University.
